WRRA - Tournament Host Selection Process


General

Western Region is seeking potential hosts for upcoming provincial events, beginning with the U12P event in 2021 and Regionals 2021.

Interested parties are asked to review hosting information posted on this page. This includes a copy of the current Provincial Host Guide, Ice Requirements, and Weighting Criteria plus a link to the current chart, based on RO event hosting recommendations.

Current Requests

Western Region is seeking potential hosts for upcoming provincial events, beginning with the U12P event to be held March 25-28, 2021.

Interested parties are asked to review the provincial hosting information posted on the Western Region Web Site under Tournament Hosts. A copy of the current Provincial Host Guide, Ice Requirements, Weighting Criteria, and a Sample Budget template are available to provide additional information for potential hosts.

Interested parties are to provide an Expression of Interest to Western Region G&T by Friday, January 24th, 2020. This should be in the form of an email from the potential hosting association President.

Applications to host Regionals2021 are to be submitted to Western Region G&T by February 4th, 2020. Applications must include: Interested parties are asked to review the hosting information posted on the Western Region Web Site under Tournament Hosts.

1. A $200 good faith deposit to Western Region. Western Region will forward the deposit of the successful application to Ringette Ontario.

2. A listing of all facilities planned to be used including ice pads, off-ice event (U12s) and opening ceremonies where applicable.

3. A listing of potential accommodations for use for the event including full address and distance to venues.

Ice markings 10   Blue lines must be added for event if not already there.
Onsite meeting space 5   Required for S2S - mandatory - if they cannot provdie, it's a zero and not hosting

      Wifi is a requirement as part of their provincial host guide - so they must make accommodations to provide or ensure there is sufficient WiFi for S2S and Provincial clothing provider - this is not for Fans.

Application to Host Regionals

Western Region is seeking potential hosts for the 2021 Western Regionals event to be held Thursday, April 1, 2021, through Saturday, April 3, 2021.

Interested parties are to provide an Expression of Interest to Western Region G&T by Friday, February 21st, 2020. This should be in the form of an email from the potential hosting association President.

Applications are to be submitted to Western Region G&T by March 4th, 2020. Applications must include:

1. The signed application

2. A $200 good faith deposit to Western Region.

3. A listing of all facilities planned to be used including ice pads (6-7 per day, for all 3 days), and a space for coaches meeting the evening prior to the event.

4. A listing of potential accommodations for use for the event including full address and distance to venues.
