Peter Westelaken opened the meeting at 7:35 p.m.

There was one item of new business to add to the agenda.

• Changes to # of teams in provincials

The November minutes were approved as read. All in favour.

Bill Rodgers ask everyone to please make sure if any switching games that they state the game # when informing him.

Had some discussion on whether rescheduled games when it doesn’t affect the outcome for both Belle A or Junior AA have to be played from the first half.

Need to be played from the first half. Make best effort to reschedule as it may affect outcome.

Question asked: Could we reschedule these games in the second half. Let Scott know ASAP. Need to let him know if need to reschedule games (he needs to know when and where)

Keith had a list of teams/games that he has no scores for they are as follows:

• Game #T39 St. Marys TA vs. Chatham 2 TA December 10, 2006 to have been played in Chatham
• Game # J24 London JA vs. Exeter JA, November 26, 2006 game to have been played in Hensall
• Game #J26 Exeter JA vs. Forest TAA, December 2, 2006 to have been played in Forest
• Game #J27 Hanover BA vs. Guelph JAA, December 2, 2006 to have been played in Guelph
• Game #J30 London JA vs. Elora Fergus, December 7, 2006 to have been played in Fergus
• Game #J31 Chatham JA vs. London JAA, December 14, 2006 to have been played in London
• Game #B16 Elora Fergus BAA vs. Hanover BA, December 3, 2006 to have been played in Hanover
• Game # 09 London OA vs. Elora Fergus, November 30, 2006 to have been played in Fergus.

If these games have been played please get the scores into Keith ASAP, if not please get them rescheduled.

National teams:

Dorchester BAA, London JAA, St. Clements TAA, Forest TAA, Stratford JAA, Guelph JAA

• All intends are in for provincials
• All two team player forms must be in and approved by January 8, 2007
• Changes to TRF - also by January 8, 2007 need to be approved before the player participating (steps on ice).
• Continue to send in information about tournaments
• Coaches monitor website – to ensure it is correct – please get sheets in
• Any teams going to tournaments out of province – MUST submit 30 days prior to tournament the form for out of province tournaments

• $5674.74 in bank ( Donna didn’t get to the bank today)

• Schedule: Owen Sound and Hanover - visitors bring officials with them
• Janet – Tanya conference all with regional referees - maybe change pay schedule - November 29, 2006 – on going process

Discussion:

• Maybe should pay mileage to referees going to Owen Sound and Hanover.
• Maybe in the future schedule B games for the ref to make worth the while
• Grey Bruce – doesn’t have many referees

Inform Tanya (referee in chief) of concerns !!!

• 1^st half games must be played. Clean them up early January.
• 2^nd half games building up to playoff, anything left will use for crossover games.

Bill Rodgers explained the Playoff Format:

Petite (7 teams)

7 team round robin

After completion teams will be split into 2 pools, Top 4, Bottom 3

Top 4 will play 1^st vs 4^th, 2 vs 3^rd. Winners to play for championship along with a Bronze game between losers.

Bottom 3 will play 3 team round robin with 1^st vs 2^nd for conciliation championship

Tween A (10 teams)

Teams will be split into 2 pools of 5 using a geographical split

Each pool will play a double round robin with home & home games

A cross over semi final of 1^st Pool A vs 2^nd Pool B & 1^st Pool B vs 2^nd Pool A

A championship of the winners will be played along with a Bronze game between losers.

Tween AA (2 teams)

Best of 3

Junior A (4 teams)

Teams will play a double round robin.

Semi final will play 1^st vs 4^th, 2 vs 3^rd. A championship of the winners will be played along with a Bronze game between losers.

Junior AA (3 teams)

Teams will play a double round robin. Semi final will play 2^nd vs 3^rd. Winner to play 1^st.

Belle A (4 teams)

Teams will play a double round robin.

Semi final will play 1^st vs 4^th, 2 vs 3^rd. A championship of the winners will be played along with a Bronze game between losers.

Belle AA (2 teams)

Best of 3

Open A (3 teams)

Teams will play a double round robin. Semi final will play 2^nd vs 3^rd. Winner to play 1^st.

• Tie breaking rules have changed see ORA rules.
• Play finals at Regionals – WORL not sure on ice availability – will advise

Junior AA – Cambridge Tournament will use as prelims. Everyone plays round robin with each other at the tournament. The top team gets a bye and the 2^nd and 3^rd place will have to play off at a later date to see who plays the 1^st place team. This has to be done by the 4^th of February.

ORA Wild card selection process:

Bill Rodgers read the letter that was written and submitted to ORA on behalf of our league. There was some discussion over this. We were informed that the selection process will not change for this year.

• "AA" Prelims – played at Cambridge Tournament (round robin, remainder before Feb. 4^th, 2007

• "AA" Provincials – Nepean March 8 – 11, 2007 (10 teams)
