September 15, 2009


The meeting was called to order at 8:40pm.


1. Attendance

5. A-Team Declaration for the 2009-2010 Season

As of September 15, 2009 it would appear the following associations will be hosting A-teams.

U12A (Petite) – Chatham, Elora Fergus, Forest, Guelph, Kitchener, London, Mitchell, St. Marys, Waterloo

U14A (Tween) – Chatham, Elora Fergus, Forest, Kitchener, London, Mitchell, Tillsonburg, Waterloo

U16A (Junior) – Elora Fergus, Forest, London, St. Clements, St. Marys 95, Tillsonburg, Waterloo

U19A (Belle) – Chatham, Elora Fergus, Exeter, Guelph, London, Stratford, Tillsonburg

Open A – London Ladies, Waterloo 1, Waterloo 2, U of Western Ontario (London)


University of Western Ontario Team, needs clarification regarding registration – Keith Kaiser will assist team with this process.


6. AA-Teams

U14AA (Tween) – Guelph, London

U16AA (Junior) – Elora Fergus, London, St Marys 94, Waterloo

U19AA (Belle) – Guelph, St. Clements, Stratford

8. Western Region Chair Report

ORA looked at all of the associations that had 2 teams registered within the same age division. This resulted with St Marys 94 being moved to AA.


Western Region Meeting September 24, 2009 in Stratford.


Western Region is looking for all associations to be involved.


9. Elite Coordinator’s Report

New Coaches notification to Mary. Everyone that took a coaches clinic last year are entered in the computer system, if taken in our region.


10. Scheduler’s Report

Deadline for Scheduling:

Hand in schedules: Thursday September 17

Draft completed: Monday September 21

Comments: Thursday September 24

Finalization and Posted to Website: Sunday September 27


First weekend of October to start with game playing.


New set up for East/West – possible look at new format for playoff


Proposed Divisional Game format for Schedule

U12A - East Teams: Elora Fergus, Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo

West Teams: St. Marys, Forest, London, Mitchell, Chatham

Each team will play each other 2 times (home & away) making it (16 games) plus play an additional 3 games in the East against other East teams and 4 games in the West against other West teams. Making the total games played 19 games for the East teams and 20 games for the West teams.


U14A – East: Elora Fergus, Mitchell, Kitchener, Waterloo

West: Chatham, Forest, London, Tillsonburg

Each team will play each other 2 times (home & away) making it (14 games) plus play an additional 6 games in the East against other East teams (home and away) and 6 games in the West against other West teams (home and away). Making the total games played 20 games for the East teams and 20 games for the West teams.


U14AA – Guelph, London (both teams playing in CORL)

All teams play each other at least 4 games (2 home, 2 away) totalling 8 games – may be part of the CORL schedule


U16A – East: Elora Fergus, St. Clements, St Marys, Waterloo

West: Forest London, Tillsonburg

Everyone plays each other 3 times for a total of 18 games.


U16AA and U19A

U16AA – Elora Fergus, London, Waterloo (playing CORL), St Marys

U19A – East: Elora Fergus, Guelph, Stratford

U19A – West: Chatham, Tillsonburg, London, Exeter

Everyone plays each other 2 times, totalling 20 games each.


U19AA and Open A

U19AA – St Clements, Guelph, Stratford

Open A – London, Waterloo 1, Waterloo 2, Western

All teams play each other 2 (home and away) (with the exception of Western), totalling 15 games, All teams play Western once. Plus play the same divisional teams once more(U1911 vs U19AA), for another 2 games. Total games to be played 18 for everyone but Western, 6 games total for Western.




11. Referee in Chief Report

Fees and costs of referring will not change for this season.


Once schedule is finalized and/or changes made throughout the season, notify Tanya as soon as possible.


12. G & T Report

First half of games will be looked at, maximum exposure for the Petite teams. Tournament will be counted.


All AA teams will attend provincials and all have to participate.

A teams still under wild card process, except Provincial Petite.


AAA team will be playing in 3 Challenge Cup Tournaments

October 16-18 (North Bay), November 27-29 (St Marys), February 12-14 (Kingston)

Any teams that would like to donate or pay for ice time for the AAA team, please contact Ken Rowe.


13. Webmaster’s Report

Send schedule to Keith Kaiser in Excel format, to be posted on the web.


All releases – Players are not on your team until Keith has signed release and he must have the original.

Ad hoc committee consists of Peter Westelaken, Nancy Houghtling and Cathy Daultrey
