Scott and Janet will discuss how the schedule will be set up. A rough draft will be sent out first and then everyone will look over and then a final schedule will be sent out. Some teams will start playing the first weekend in October and others the next week depending on who has ice.

The meeting was turned back over to Peter.

Important Dates:

It was discussed at how often we would like to meet as a WORL league. It was decided that we would meet next month, then see how things were going and maybe not meet until December, then January.

"A" Prelims – Tillsonburg February 16- 18, 2007

"AA" Prelims – still be decided

"A" Provincials – Chatham March 22 – 25, 2007

"AA" Provincials – Nepean March 8 – 11, 2007

League Championship Format:

Bill Rogers gave us an update on this and more information will follow once all the teams have been declared.

Crossover schedule with CORL Teams:

A few associations showed interest in having a home and away schedule set up with the CORL League. Scott will look into getting these teams set up. (St. Clements, Guelph, Waterloo and Hanover)

Suitable Ice Times:

The motion was made and passed at the Annual Meeting April 11, 2006 it read:

Motion made by Bill Rodgers, seconded by Guelph

To have teams play and complete games so players can arrive home at a reasonable time under normal driving conditions on school nights. Times players should arrive home are:

Belles and Juniors – 11:00 p.m.

Tweens and Petites – 9:00 p.m.

Motion carried. All in favour.

Closest Association Web Site:

This brought much discussion to the table and Mary Kaiser, Janet Logan, Keith Kaiser and Chris Beuglet gave some advice on how this works.

All A and AA teams must fill out a form that will be found on the web page Thursday September 14. This form is for a list of all players who tried out for your team.

Shot clocks:

Forms are on the web if your association requires the use of a shot clock.

Proposed Wild Cards:

Janet handed out information on changes for provincial teams. This will be discussed at next months meeting.

REMINDER: Home teams must let visiting teams know before games start if there is a curfew time in their arena.

****If teams have changes to the schedule once it has been handed out they must first work with the team, then if that doesn’t help go through the convener and last resort the ice scheduler****

The meeting was adjourned at 9:25 p.m.

NEXT MEETING: October 17, 2006 Same location
