Scott gave a year-end report, which included his thoughts on the fines set up by the WORL committee. He stated how well our league has grown and how the level of play in our region is steadily improving. All issues from the previous season seemed to have worked themselves out. It would be great if the Region teams and the Provincial teams could work together for the betterment of the sport.
Discussion on multi point games was held. Should we allow this to happen as a means to finish off the season? Once the Provincials are finished teams tend to use multi point games to finish off the schedule as teams, coaches and parents lose interest when the games no longer have any purpose. Most were against multi point games unless they were absolutely necessary due to inclement weather and the impossibility to reschedule due to lack of ice time. It was agreed that every effort must be made to make up games rather than use multi point games.
Bill Rodgers led a committee that put together some ideas for a playoff schedule as a means to add some excitement to seasons end and keep all teams interested. Some ideas put forth by the committee are to have season split into tow portions.
Motion by Bill Rodgers, seconded by St. Clements to have playoff committee move forward with idea of playoff schedule for WORL A and AA teams. Will define in September when teams are declared. At that time will request the region to include ice time for Championship games. Carried.

Belles and Juniors – 11:00 PM
Tweens and Petites – 9:00 PM.
Motion carried. All in favour.
Elite report made by Mary Kaiser. Mary said the Elite level enjoyed much success this past season. All went well.
Next meeting will be Tuesday, September 12, 2006. At this time all provincial teams must be declared. No exception. Teams will not be included in the schedule if they are not declared at this time.
New Business.
Andrew Brady (Elora Fergus) brought up the problem with games being curfewed and the coaches not being notified at the appropriate time. If a game has a curfew it must be managed properly and coaches notified at beginning of game on how this will be implemented.
All A and AA games must be interlocking so adequate records can be kept in the event of seeding questions.
Chris Beuglet asked for suggestions on A/AA structure. Chris said he received some good suggestions already. Some ideas discussed;
Have 10 teams in each division and set up all divisions in the same manner as the Petite AA pool was set up last year with cross over games.
Have region follow the protocol of Ontario Ringette on selecting the best possible submission for a wild card.
Have at least one possible wild card at each level.
