Membership – players cannot tryout if they do not have a tryout release form. Coaches must enter after every tryout, those players that attended tryouts.
Webmaster – working on updating site
Motion to accept reports: Elora Fergus/Kitchener . . .carried
Willing to Host:
Peter – Provincial Intent Form gave us a good picture of how next season will translate. 545 respondents. Encourage Associations to openly communicate regarding players and player movement.
AA Process:
Tween AA: Six Associations willing to host: London, Dorchester, Elora Fergus, Guelph, Waterloo and St. Clement’s.
Discussion:
London questions how Dorchester can host. Dorchester has been in contact with President’s of 2 Associations. There are players coming from those Associations.
Note:
Must have 2 tryout dates before April 15th. Associations are strongly encouraged to have at least 2 additional tryouts after April 15th, to allow for players that have been cut from other teams, or a team has folded.
Southern Region is not an option for Western Region players, nor is Western Region and option for Southern Region players.
Peter – after a lengthy discussion it was stated that there was no reason to deny Dorchester’s willing to host application based on the number of players with the intent to play in the area.
Peter – do not hold on to players if they are not what you are looking for
Question to Elora Fergus – why Elora Fergus sent a Willing to Host form for Tween AA so late, and with only 5 players? Elora Fergus has a core group to substantiate the willing to host application.
Junior AA - regarding Forest/Exeter team: What is the Host Association? Important for players to know in advance what percentage of the time they will be playing at each centre. Exeter will not hold players to the matrix if the player doesn’t want to play in Forest.
Janet Logan – Coaches Survey - will be online shortly. At least one member of bench staff to complete. Deadline April 15th.
Next Meeting: AGM April 15th 7:30pm Optimist Hall
Correspondence: Thank you card from the Gardhouse family.
Motion to adjourn: London/Chatham . . .carried
